The following guidelines have been developed to ensure your Product Brand Level 4 literature supports Cargill’s masterbrand identity strategy. If you are unsure, go to the Product Branding page to determine the appropriate “level” to use for your literature.

Literature Templates
The most effective way to maintain consistency across all literature is to use the templates and specifications provided in the Downloads section of this site. Product Brand Level 4 literature must include the following items:


Headline, Subheads, and Other Text
All text should support the Product or Umbrella brand's visual identity. Be sure you apply the appropriate trademark or registration symbols in accordance with our trademark policy.

Imagery
Individual product brandmarks, logos, color, imagery and taglines may be incorporated, to support the Product or Umbrella brand’s visual identity. All detailed graphic images must be positioned with a minimum of clear space away from the endorsement. Photographs may be part of the background, but must not interfere with, or distract from, the endorsement.

Cargill Relationship Endorsement
A Cargill relationship endorsement must appear on the front of every piece of Product Brand Level 4 literature. Always use the endorsement graphic file downloaded from this site, or as prescribed in the templates. Do not try to recreate the endorsement with a Cargill logo, type and a rule. For standard–sized pieces (8.5 x 11"), the thin rule of the endorsement must be 2" (50.8mm) wide, and placed in the lower right–hand corner, with a 1/2" (31.75mm) margin from the right end of the rule and the bottom of the “G” in the Cargill logo. For A4–sized pieces (210 x 297mm), the rule must be must be 51mm wide, with a 13mm margin from the right end of the rule and the bottom of the “G” in the Cargill logo. For other sizes, scale the endorsement proportionally, never more than 25% of the width of the paper size, with the same margin from the right and bottom sides of at least 5% of the longer edge of the paper size.

Address Signoff
The address signoff includes: Product or Umbrella brandmark, Product or Umbrella Brand/Company name, address/phone/fax, Product or Umbrella brand and/or Corporate URL, Cargill relationship endorsement, copyright information, printing location, and literature stock code, if applicable. The address signoff should always be positioned in the lower left corner, with 1/2" or (or 13mm for A4) margin from left and bottom sides, on the back of multiple page communications, as shown.
