Grain elevators, head houses, storage tanks, and warehouses are some of the largest physical structures displaying the Cargill logo. This practice of marking dominant physical structures should only be done on structures in high–visibility, high–traffic locations, such as near populated cities or next to major highways. Also, if a Cargill facility elects to display the logo on a large structure, its staff must commit to maintain the logo’s high–quality appearance. Because these logo images are often at an elevated height and viewed from a great distance, the Cargill logo should be displayed alone. The guidelines for large structures are the same for the Cargill Brand and all Product Brands. No other Business Unit, facility name or product brandmarks should be displayed with the logo when it’s applied on a large–scale surface.
The Cargill Logo
The preferred Cargill logo for large structures is the two–color black and green format on a white or light–colored background. Visit the Cargill logo guidelines for additional information about properly applying the logo.

Trademark
Generally, using the trademark symbol with the Cargill logo is advised. However, if it will be impractical to update the TM symbol when the logo changes to become a registered mark (®), you may elect not to apply either symbol with the logo. See Trademark Usage for more information.
Size and Placement
Storage structures vary in size and shape. Horizontally, the logo should cover from 30% to 60% width of the structure’s diameter.
For large structures always maintain sufficient clear space above the logo—at least 100% of the height of the “L” in Cargill—from the top of the structure.
Application Examples
Cylindrical structures: storage tanks and grain elevators

Flat surfaces: head houses and sheds
