Many employees wear uniforms or other protective clothing such as lab coats, smocks, overalls, work shirts, and hard hats. Other (non–uniform) apparel is often worn by employees and given to partners, customers and other stakeholders. No matter where these are worn, it's important that the Cargill brand is properly applied. These guidelines remain the same for the Cargill Brand and Product Brand level 1 and 2. See Product Brand level 3 or 4 for guidelines on applying product brandmarks.

Always:

  • use the approved color logo.
  • maintain a minimum clear space-at least the size of the “i” in Cargill- around the logo from any text or graphic elements. Additional logos or type should never compete with the Cargill logo.
  • use artwork that has been downloaded from this web site.
  • apply to the left chest of a uniform, shirt or jacket, or centered on the front of a hat.

Logo Color Options
Use the preferred two–color version of the Cargill logo on materials where enough contrast exists between the logo and the background color (white, light and medium tones). You may use the all–black or all–white logo on very light or very dark colored materials, respectively. For a more sophisticated look, you may use a one color, tone–on–tone logo where the difference in tone between the background color and the logo is subtle.

Applying Text to Uniforms and Apparel
In some cases, it is necessary to include text in conjunction with the logo on uniforms and apparel. For instance, you may want to include your personal name, Business or Function Unit name, project team, or facility location. The following guidelines will ensure consistent application of text no matter who is producing them. Text should always:

  • be positioned with adequate clear space — at least the size of the “i” in Cargill — away from the Cargill logo.
  • be centered under the Cargill logo.
  • be the same color as the word “Cargill” in the logo.
  • be visually less prominent than the Cargill logo. The capital letter height of the text size should be smaller than, and never exceed, the height of the “L” in the Cargill logo.
  • use Cargill–approved fonts, if possible. Use Helvetica Neue Bold Condensed Oblique as the first line when two or more lines are needed or Helvetica Neue Medium Condensed Oblique when only one line is needed, or as the second and/or third line(s) below the bold first line. If Helvetica Neue is not available, Arial italic is an acceptable substitution.
